The customer support specialist will help respond to customer inquiries, design solar energy systems and prepare quotes.
Note: This is a temporary eight month contract position to cover for an employee on maternity leave. However, the contract may be extended if work volume continues on the current trend.
Job Duties:
responding to customer inquiries
preparing solar assessment reports and quotes
designing solar photovoltaic systems
assisting with procurement, permitting and other project management tasks related to completing solar energy projects
assisting with community engagement and development of community-owned solar energy projects both locally and in remote diesel communities
based on work priorities, there also may be opportunities to assist with installing solar energy systems
Qualifications:
education in business, energy management, environmental sciences, renewable energy or a related field
computer software: spreadsheets, databases, general office (3D modeling experience helpful)
prefer training and/or experience in designing renewable energy systems (solar photovoltaics, solar thermal, solar hot water, solar pools, other)
excellent customer service and communication skills
Other details:
- Work will be full-time, 35 hours per week
- Pay: $25.50 per hour or negotiable based on qualifications and experience
- This is a hybrid work position. You can remotely up to 3 days per week if you like.
